Over the years I have donated artwork to arts organizations, schools and other art spaces raising funds to keep art going strong in our communities. As a donating artist, I will spend some time on a one-of-a-kind piece to completion and then send it out to do its good in my city.

The piece above will have traveled the farthest for good thus far. I was invited to donate artwork for Wynwood Art Auction taking place this Friday, November 14^th in Miami, Florida. The auction will raise funds for Ronald McDonald House South Florida which provides housing and much more for families with children undergoing hospital treatment for leukemia and other debilitating diseases.

The piece is titled “Arte, Corazon, Vida.” (Art, Heart, Life.).

Art has been my escape since I was very young and admiring illustrations in library books and Saturday morning cartoons. Growing up with domestic violence brought some struggle through my youth and into my early adult years. My experience also taught me resilience and determination. Now I dedicate myself to creating art that spreads joy as art has always done for me.

Art saved me and Heart pushes me to create and build a peaceful Life.

For the past year and a half all my energy went into painting outside. With the help of my fellow artist community, I was able to paint 6 mural works.
